someone told me the MR 6 speed is weaker than 5 speed. I have a 2.3 w/ GT35R and I want to know if a 6 speed will last. My tranny and T-case was rebuilt by TRE but at 140-150 MPH the car is screaming with only 5 gears.

get your final gear changed in the 5spd

 

5spd's will almost always be stronger than 6spd's

Less gears in the same size casing means bigger gears
