Gruppe-S 2.3

Hey guys, I did a search but couldn't find anything on these kits. I was wondering what kind of experience people have had with this kit if any. I am not planning on going with huge turbo always running high boost. Either the green I have or changing to a 3065. The car is an 03 with supporting mods for the green and 272 cams. I am assuming this is not too much for the kit to handle, and the idea of a green on a 2.3 makes me happy. ( I have only owned American cars before the evo and I am a fan of torque )

Please let me know what you guys think and if this is a repost I apologize and please steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Howdy

I have ordered this kit from Grupp-S 2.3 kit...

From the ones i looked at it seems to be a pretty good kit.

There are lots of 2.3's running arround not everyone discloses which kit they are running...

So I'm curiuos also.

i actually havent heard too much on the gruppe-s kit. ive heard plenty on buschur and ams though. if it were me id lean towards one of these two kits. theres threads on both of these 2.3 kits on this site. just search and youll find what youre looking for. good luck

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I have read about the Buschur and AMS, but was wondering about the Gruppe-S cause I have never heard anything. I wanted to get as much info as possible before I make any decisions.

Ok yeah - I've also seen a lot on the Buschur and AMS...

But people also say that the most common build is a:
- Eagle Crank
- Eagle Rods
- Wiseco Pistons

Seems that lots of smaller shops and home builders use this combo.

They advertise a special coating for different parts and such i would look into that..as far as quality i would trust them 100%
Gruppe-s is very reputable and competively priced.. Don't let people sway you from a good company

I hate to say this, but Gruppe S is a retailer, not a performance shop. Why don't you go with something tried and trued like BR, AMS, JAM,.....Give any one of thosee shop a call and they'll be more than happy to steer you in the right direction.

The 2.3L with the 3065 would yeild a powerful street car. But the 35R will kill it on the highway.
