Starting problem (intermittent)
Hello, the very same thing happened to me also...
I was driving around, and all the electronics starts shutting off and restarting again. The stereo resets itself and the SAFC also. The aircon shuts off and then comes back on...and worse, the cluster shuts off, like the car was shut off...but the engine keeps on running.
When I stopped the car at home, I shut it off, and when I try to turn it back on, nothing...just a small click. tried to check the connection of the battery to see if it is loose, but it isn't. come back to the car, starts like nothing ever happened.
Well, I ignored it at first, but then it happened again, and this time, car would not start anymore.
Changed my battery after reading this post and everything is ok now...brought it to a shop to have the alternator checked and it was perfectly fine.
What is weird is that I also had the previous battery checked, and simulated 200amp of load and it stayed at 10v...which the battery store said it was perfectly fine....I sort of concluded that it is not a dying battery, it is a BROKEN battery, which means it has the power inside of it, but there is probably something loose inside that does not allow it to use the power...so it can cut off like a dying battery, but then bounce back again like nothing ever happened. Anyway, drove the car all day today, and it is perfect so far...knock on wood!
