How's it going? What color is your E8?

Anyway, here are my numbers, using Defi BF:

3rd and 4th gear: 1.2 bar held
5th and 6th gear: 1.3 bar held

Peak boost 1.4 bar, 1.5 bar with full load and A/C on.

Operating conditions:
Full tank of gas (Shell V-Power)
Temperature: 28 degrees C
Dew point: 24 degress C
Relative Humidity: 78%
Pressure: 29.83 in. Hg

Car is totally stock.

I'm still breaking in mine so I can't really vouch the numbers you just described, but have a friend who observed exactly the same numbers as yours.

BTW would be very informative for everyone to disclose:
Gear
Boost peak
Boost held

Peaking at 1.5bar tapering to 0.9bar at redline is VERY different from holding 1.5bar all the way to redline.

Also, IMHO the variations *could* partly be due to the MEASURING device. For e.g. I have heard numerous posts that say Defi boost gauges are over-optimistic on the boost readings. That is, a 1.5bar displayed on the Defi could be registered 1.35bar on a Blitz EBC digital read-out, or a diagnostics device (SECS).

Which number do you take? Personally I'd lean more towards readings off a diagnostics device, so numbers in Defi is a bit off.

All of above IMHO. Open for discussion but please don't flame

Remembering that I drive an Evo 6, I hit 1.1 bar modified, but only ever so briefly. If I plant my foot in 1st/2nd/3rd, I'm redlining before I even get a chance to look at the boost guage!

If I plant my foot from say 40mph in 5th, then it slowly builds up to about 1.1-1.2 bar.

My stock was 1.35 bars tappering to 1.25. I just installed the Exede with boost control, turboback exhaust and I am peaking at 1.45 bar and tappering to 1.4 to redline. I'm also only running the 91 octane map. The difference from stock is amassing.

whoah 26psi!!! I hope your not using the stock fuel system and injecetors for this cause you'll be running really lean.

I wonder how much timing is being pulled at that much boost. I hope that nobody in here ever runs over 24 psi on the stock fuel system.

Perhaps your setup has some degree of inacuracy?

You're getting more boost at lower gears that is strange, usually it's the other way around, is your car stock?

To answer your question I'm getting -.62 vacuum at idle once the car is warmed up. Anyone else want to chime in with their idle vaccuum on their Blitz DTT? I think mine is a bit high.

btw, here's a nice site for conversions:

If you're getting **** on the guy let me get **** on you.

Rounding off to 5 significant digits 1 bar is equal to 14.504 PSI. To 9 significant digits it's equal to 14.5037738.
