There are spacers for both sides. That FMIC lines up perfectly and with out any problems at all. Make sure you have both spacers and then try to reinstall it using the bolts CBRD is sending you. It's a great FMIC Mod!

Are you using aftermarket intercooler pipes?

On the stocker pipes, If I put a spacer on the passenger side mounting point - the stock lower intercooler pipe won't line up correctly. On the driver side though, I had to use the spacer. The DIY instructions also show that only the driver side uses the spacer

Additionally, I had to elongate the hole on the FMIC's driver side mounting tab about 1/4" in order to make it line up. If I didn't do this, it would have been impossible to insert one of the mounting bolts straight.

hmmm, on my Perrin FMIC install I used both spacers that came with it on the passenger side only. I stacked both spacers and used a bolt from the kit on the passenger side. Driver side I bolted w/o any spacers. I did notice that left to right horizontal level was off. I had to redrill the driver side mounting hole higher. But the right side was still lower by 0.5". FMIC mount feels solid w/o any movement and can't really tell the horizontal offset after the bumper reinstalled. And I can't really tell any performance improvement or any lag in this cold weather. GL.

Okay, Perrin stated that both spacers needs to be used (one on the passenger mounting point, and the other on the driver side mounting point).

But if one is using the stock lower intercooler pipe, then you have to unbolt the LICP's top bracket which will then allow you to move it forward so that it will line up correctly with the inlet. The spacers are needed to make sure the FMIC clears the power steering cooler.

Having no instructions sucks but they are remedy'ing it.

Like you said there is one spacer on each side (total of 2) and none at the top bracket. There are no instructions on the new FMIC either. You need the spacers to make the FMIC clear the lines in front of the radiator.
