Hope you all had a good Christmas break.

Came back in today all amp'd up to start on some more changes. Here's some teaser pictures of what's going on. I'll keep updating with information as I go on this project.

Hey David,

Hope you had a good Christmas, as well. Did you always have the mini-radiator on your RS? I always thought you had a full-size radiator.

Won't you lose the ability to daily drive the car or road race with it?

Looks like you are buiding a new header, are you going to try the newer Tial exhaust housing for the the 35R?

I put the small radiator in the car about a month ago. I don't "road race" the car anyway but the small radiator is very good and I don't forsee any problems with the car ever overheating. Daily driving is no problem at all.

Moving along, I'm fitting up the project and Trent is welding it. As he welds, I type

The service side of our shop is closed this week. When they come back next week my car looks like it is going to need a head gasket Must have blown on the dyno last time and I didn't notice. Extremely hard to blow a head gasket on an EVO. With 40 psi of boost daily for two "years" I guess it was due to have something go wrong. It's been as high as 45.8 psi of boost. I was worried at first because I didn't notice it on the dyno and when I pulled the oil drain line the oil was milky. I drained the pan, pull the oil filter and cut the fitler open. Perfect condition. I'm amazed at the lack of anything in the oil filter........mind boggling that an engine can take this punishment and stay together.

More pictures coming.

Just when you think his car is as perfect as a car can get, he starts over again.

I can understand that David.
I just hate using up all the paper towels in the house from wiping up the drool after one of your projects or changes.
Keep up the good work.

It's on the welding bench now. 4th runner is finished, final welding will be in the morning. Put the wastegate on and make the dump tube. The air inlet should be easy and I have to fab up a new lower i/c pipe. Should have it all done tomorrow easily.

This is the stuff I love to do.
