Question.. regarding making of the Greddy Type-S BOV

I can't find it anywhere online.

Why did they stop making this bov? The rs bov is the newer model, but it doesn't sound anything like the type-s..

The Type S has been discontinued and replaced by the RS. It will take some looking around to find a type S but I bet you can find it somewhere. Better yet, get a used one for dirt cheap, disassemble, clean, teflon tape, and reassemble using only the heavy spring Oh yeah, and recirculate it!

I have a used Greddy type S that is sitting gathering dust. All you need for it is to replace the rubber diaphragm. All threads are already teflon'd + I have both springs. Let me know if you want it.

Don't know why the discontinued, I guess they wanted a change. RS has the same Diaphragm setup, just doesn't sound as pretty or look it.

I have 1 at home gathering dust. All it did was leak boost all the time. GReddy didn't warranty it for me. PM me if you want it.

It will leak boost if the diaphragm is bad or the thread is not teflon taped

I have a Type-S on my Mirage. I absolutly love it. It's only 11psi, so it holds boost fine. Not sure how they do on higher boost applications such as an Evo.

When I was getting the car tuned, the guys over at AMS said it was a bogus BOV. Not the BOV in general, but the one I had.
