In my store i sell RP engine oil as it has proven its ability, however the RP tranny fluid really S_U_X.

Rather use an oil that allows for more friction which engages the synchros better and lets the box work easier. RP is too....slippery...for lack of a better word, and although this is great for gear life, its poor for gear engagement..which leads to grinding and int eh end loss of tranny!

Sorry!

Redline MT90 and Redline Heavy Shockproof = FTMFW (Had it for a year now and no problems. STILL shifts like butter)

I have royal purple. No grinding problems, when cold its a little harder to get into gears, but thats all... Drives fine, I don't race alot though, or slam through gears. I also live in a pretty warm climate. I guess only time will tell, but everything seems fine on mine. I would assume if royal purple was the cause of transfercases going out all the time, we would have a class action lawsuit happening.
