Stage One is Downpipe+Cat-back (or new Turbo-back), Cam Gears and XEDE. The harness will be sold for ~$100, maybe a bit less depending on final assembly details. Another neat tidbit of info is that there are a couple different cam gear settings one can use depending on personal preference. One maximizing power but requires shifting at 7400rpm for maxium go (good for road racers and aggressive driving driving). Another configuration offers more midrange and upper-midrange torque but slightly less max power. It's probably quicker on the road in anything short of all-out *****-to-the-wall driving. More info to come.

PS. "Lucky out-of-staters?" heheh... if you saw the drive I took this past weekend down Rt. 17 to Santra Cruz, up Rt. 1 (pacific coast highway), through La Honda, and down Skyline Dr, you wouldn't feel so sorry for us! Even in an STi, I had a blast. The EVO was sidelined due to warped rotors and corded tires (from doing that drive too many times!
)

Sounds like the perfect deal for me, and I will wait for the harness so I can put back to stock in case I really screw the pooch. So how much is this fun going to cost? Pleeeeaaaase say around $2000! That would be about right for buying the turbo back, Xede and cam gears as a package wouldn't it?
On our dyno, the pump gas map will make around 235-245 wheel hp. The race gas map will make 255-260 wheel hp which is just about the limit of the factory turbo.
What are you NUTS? Its a Big 16G, it can make 400WHP, and if you check the compressor wheel, it is actually a Little larger then the traditional Big 16G, so it is actually a Big Big 16G.
People have allready made 360+ whp on pump gas.
Buschur racing has one making 340 with stock head, cams, timing, FMIC.
236 is not a good number even on 91 octane, should be more.
Hi Shiv,
250-255hp for us lucky 93-94 octane users! May I ask how much more hp for the non-signature exhaust on the stage 1? I prefer the signature exhaust due to the ease of installation and offroad options.
So our boost will hold at 16.5psi and redline at 7400rpm with the stage 1?
Please post the 93 map plot on the stage 1 and state which exhaust was used.
thanks,

Hey Shiv ....does that plug on the lower left plug directly into the stock ECU?....for those of us with spliced looms will we have to replace that bit of the harness with a new one from the dealer?...could you explain how we will retrofit the new xede module with boost control and switchable maps into a old style spliced loom/harness....thanks in advance....It sucks that you had to drive one of those nasty STI's on some decent twisties...oh well we don't always get what we want.....he, he
Shiv,
Hell of a job representing the Evo in the SCC article. Evo vs. Germany.
It was very amusing how the basically said with the mods the car is the clear winner overall all of them regardless of the price.
Yes I know this is OT but I wasn't starting a new thread just to congradulate him.
