Yeah ok I just gout back from getting inspected and I have to say..... I felt an increase in HP/tq. My off the line was slower but above 3grand rpm I was ripping ***. Is this in my head or could this be possible? This is with the cat and stock DP.

Have anyone here try the Apexi Active silencer? It's basically a spring loaded silencer that you slip into your exhaust tip. It's open up by the pressure of the exhaust.

I have it on my car and absolutely love it. I have no cat, no resonator, and Magnaflow Ti exhaust, with the Apexi Active silencer, my car is more quiet than stock.

When selling my 03 I went from Full 3" TBE back to stock starting with the catback first.

Going from full TBE to down pipe, testpipe, and stock cat back I did notice some power loss but not much. I continued to run alchy and car still made insane power.

Later I switched to the stock downpipe, testpipe, and stock catback. That stock downpipe really kills spool. It also made a noticable hit on power above 5000 (and yes I tuned for each).

I've seen a few people with the stock catback but after market downpipe & testpipe running very good traps.

The one thing I noticed when handling both the aftermarket and stock unit is that the stocker is VERY heavy.

Yes I think I am saying that, I drove it again today and it still seemed faster. When I go to put the 3 in dp and test back on I will know for sure. Is it possible? Maybe I don't have enough supporting mods for the 3in exhaust. Maybe the mods I have now with the 3in makes me lose power. I should pull it to see what is up, im not sure I want to pay to pull it each time to see what has more power ..lol

I am hell bent on keeping this car quiet. I have a feeling i might just end up keeping the stock catback. Downpipe and HFC should suffice for my goals anyway (350whp).

The only way your car is faster with the stock pipes is if your tune for the 3" is complete crap.
