How heavy is the Tilton twin disc....
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!
I cant believe that a vendor recommending clutches based on HP!!!!!! (not talking about buschur with this statement due to his one sentence)
Clutch ratings are based on torque.

Horsepower and tq work hand to hand. You will not have 574tq and 265whp unless you are driving a diesel truck.
We ran 10's on a stock resurfaced flywheel and XTSS street disc clutch. I urge all to review the torque ratings from the various ACT single disc pressure plate and disc combinations.
Without knowing the goals and BUDGET of the customer, recommending a $4500 Tilton carbon on carbon is ridiculous.
We have put 140passes on a stock clutch, many od which were into the 11's on a 6sp. We took out the clutch at 15000mi and put it into another car and it still worked and held just fine.
I think driving style and driving SKILL are important factors in clutch life.

TTP Engineering: Ok whatever you say. I have no reason to continue this "discussion" with you.
My last post speaks for itself and i'll leave it at that.
P.S.- The goals are pretty obvious if you read the post. The OP wants a clutch thats going to hold the power of a 600whp car with room for launching the car.
