GT3582R - Is this worth the headache?

A good friend of mine handed me a GT3582R for me to do what i please. It is in good shape with low miles on it. I thought I would start piecing the parts for me to install it on the IX after I did a little research. In the process save me some cash.

Accustomed to just doing bolt-on turbos, all this customizing available with Garrett is a bit over my head. The part number on the turbo is 714568-500, a number that is not listed in the garrett catalog. 714568-1, -2, -3 are.LINK to Garrett

I can say it's a .70 A/R. has a 3" 4-bolt outlet, and the manifold flange appears to push the turbo too forward for proper clearance with the radiator. My gut is saying sell it and use the funds for a proper kit. I already think I need to replace the hot-side to a 2.5".

Give me your thoughts. Thanks.

can you get a picture of the 4bolt housing? i might want it.

What is the A/R on that hotside, and im thinking that might be a t4 exhaust housing which in that case i cant use it. is it .63/82/1.06?

Seriously, where the hell did I say I was bolting it to the stock manifold?

Also, I did a search here and google. Including the following: GT35, GT35R, GT3582R, a/r .70. That's why I'm asking, is it worth the headache for me to convert and piece together a kit of my own.

How can I find out that info? I don't see it stamped on there like the compressor.

Welcome captain obvious.
I get it. My low post count must mean I'm a complete novice at this.

well it sounds like your have a gt35r with a 3 inch gt style outlet. that means the outlets stickes out further than normal. so even if you had the proper manifold it will not fit with AC. the kits for our cars do not use the gt outlet.
