Why a turbo timer is NOT useless

I didn't read it but they are, in fact, worthless. I have NEVER seen a turbo fail due to excessive heat in the bearings, hell most guys don't keep a turbo long enough to have it fail. I'll go one further, I've been running water cooled turbo's without water lines attached to them for at least 15+ years and never even had one of them fail.
Just saying.
Just saying.

and on another note, 1 extra minute isn't gonna do much... When i pull off the track my car idles for about 15 minutes... And even if u drive spiritly to Ralph's and get groceries, while u put put to find a parking spot is more than enough time to cool.. The extra minute for ur TT's doesnt do anything besides make you look like "that guy"

manufacture design water cooled turbo for a reason, it cost them more to add that feature. if it wasn't beneficial then they wouldn't include it. i leave my turbo timer on for 5 minutes when i park the car after track session, that's after i do cool down laps and drive around the pit til my brakes cool down.

Turbo timers aren't useless. I use it as a 'park anywhere for ten minutes without penalty'-timer. Fire her up for 10 minutes, park right in front of a food place, pull the keys, lock the doors
