Changing 5th gear...help?

ok well i found out it gonna cost me a **** load to have someone do my 5th gear. So what the problem is when i get over 3k rpm and i wanna shift to 5th it does a small grind. so i heard its probably the gear and syncro. so i wondering where and what 5th gear i need or what all i need to get. and anyone have like a picture instructions to show me how to do it that would be amazing.

Your best bet is to get the double 5th syncro gear upgrade from shep. Its not going to be cheap but if its grinding now fix it right the first time. Have you tried changing the tranny fluid btw?

I had excellent results with redline MT90. Its the fluid I run exclusively now.

MT90 is straight 90 weight. The tranny needs roughly three quarts so its about three bottles.
