Unhappy Question With Turbos

What is the biggest turbo I can get with a stock evo 8?
I have an aftermarket APS twin blowoff valve, 4 inch exaust, and a boost control..
I also have a Compustar alarm with turbo timer..

So I'm trying to find the best turbo for my car without doing much to the engine??

Thanks

well if you go so big on a turbo youre gonna have to get supporting mods such as cams, upgraded fuel system, intercooler system, and a tune.

If I were you I'd max out the stock turbo using meth injection with ARP head studs, and a walbro 255lph fuel pump. then get it tuned. Then later maybe add cams. THEN if your not happy move to a bigger turbo. But your question was whats the BIGGEST turbo you could do without upgrading the internals......So I'd say I wouldnt go any bigger than a 3076R. But definetly no bigger than GT35R because the 35r can put out more than the stock block can handle and still being reliable.

Let's first start off with this question. What kind of hp are you looking for? Figure that out and it will be a lot easier for us to steer you in the right direction.

I think the first thing you will need to mention is what you want to do with the car. If you are simply going for the highest HP with a certain turbo, then just say that. If you are limited to a certain turbo, but want to road race, for example, then you need to state that. The hardest thing about this is every dyno reads different, and some people have a more realistic idea of power levels, while others think they have a 2JZ under the hood of their EVOs.

I have about 325 hp right now.. I'm just wondering how much hp can I get out of a stock Evo 8 engine and what turbo would be the best one for my stock engine to get the most output of hp??

Would a Stage 2 turbo that would give me 430hp work?

Based on your mods, with no sort of engine management or gauges, I'd say the stock turbo is the largest you should go with for now.

some people are running up to 500whp on the stock block pretty reliably. It all just depends on how reliable you want it to be. a 3076 or 50 trim would be good for you if you are just really wanting a different turbo

Go with the GT30r. It has a good spool time and can get you to that goal.

Are you looking for 430 WHP on straight 93 octane pump gas?

with that budget you'll need a turbo that will bolt up to your stock manifold.
