UPDATED!! I NEED HELP..Car shut off suddenly! UPDATED!!

UPDATED!!!! 05-26-08

Well im desperate right now... i was going to watch a movie with my wife... as im about to park at the mall... my evo just turned off....lights on ac on everything on.. but idle just died... and after that there was no more to it.. it will not turn back on.

Its a 2003 evo 8, its not the battery because just bought brand new 1 last week... and everything is on fine. ''electric''.
Its not the starter because is not clicking like if it was the starter it cranks but it just will not start.. like no spark... please let me know what to check and where to start from... thank you...

Mods are full exhaust and drop in intake, which were done long timr ago.. ''no recent mods''

I FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED 1 OF THE ENGINE FUSES IS BLOWING, ITS A BLUE 1 NUMBER 20, I'AM NOT SURE WHICH ONE IT IS, AND I CHANGED IT AND IT KEEPS ON BLOWING 2 MINUTES AFTER THE CAR IS ON..!! NOW I NEED TO FIND OUT WHY THAT 1 FUSE KEEPS ON BLOWING, PLEASE HELP THANK YOU.

First check your fuses (hood and in cabin, and the ones off the battery cables)
Then check your volt-level mabye your battery is faulty from the store.
Next check for obvious loose/removed cables under the hood, check the MAF connector too.
Then well start troubleshooting from there.

Also what mods have you done to the car and which ones are recent, estimates of dates are good.

It cranks... but wont start up? Could be a fuel issue.

Did it die suddenly, or did the rpms gradually drop off and then the car died? I was cruising down the road @ 60mph last summer when all of a sudden my rpms began to drop and I started loosing speed. I was able to pull the car off to the side of the road and then it just died. Afterwards, it cranked and sputtered a couple of times and then just cranked over without any combustion whatsoever. After pulling my hair out checking things over for two days, I finally swapped out my walbro fuel pump with my old oem pump. I cranked it over and it fired right up. It was a pain in the @ss but I was glad it was just a $70 part.

Possibly it's the timing belt/chain? (forgive the noob for not knowing if it's a belt or chain) Sounds like exactly what happened to me way way back with my 1989 VW GTI. I pulled away from a stop light and the car just died. All electrical was fine. It would turn over, but give no spark.
