Mini battery is dying on me..

I bought a Buschur mini battery kit about 2 years ago. My car has been garaged for this winter, and I've noticed that it struggles to turn the starter every week when I go to warm it up. So I went out and bought a battery charger from Sears to see what was going on and to charge it up. It was at 45% charge when I tested it, and I recharged it last night. This morning I went out and checked the charge again, it was at 60%. IN ONE NIGHT!! That doesn't seem normal at all. For kicks, I tested my wife's Honda (which I charged also last night) and her battery was at 95% charge. I think I have a dead cell in this battery, but I'm pissed because this battery should last at least 5 years.

Thoughts?

Also, is there any vendor that sells just the battery without buying the whole damn kit?

I have the same small battery kit. I d/d my Evo however. On real cold mornings it is a bit sluggish. But always turns over.

I can imagine if I let it go a few days it would be a similar situation.

If you do a couple searches there a few options for replacements.
I know I saw when I was looking around just in case.

Be carefully with charging sealed batteries. You need to use a trickle charge IIRC. Your's may be different than my old one. Talk to Buschur

Average life for a mini battery is 2yrs. For some they have only lasted for a yr. Some people get lucky and it last them 5 yrs. I guess it depends on where you live and your driving style.

That's interesting. I thought it was more than 2 yrs since it's supposed to be better than the average battery.
