Yeah, it's a ported manifold, not a ported or turbine housing.

Again with the gasket matching.

Read that:

"Well it is quite simple. You port to reduce the turbulence of the unmatched ports to begin with but if you make the ports even larger on one side you are further increasing the impact of air against the original port."

If someone purchased JUST a ported manifold without porting their turbine housing you'll have uneven ports. I'm sure if muse wanted to port the hell out of a manifold and then cast it they would but from what I've gathered their porting was done to mate with the stock head and stock turbine housing ports.

Plus you're comparing apples to oranges. You're comparing the quality of an uncoated exhaust manifold to a coated and gasket matched turbine housing.

No doubt it's quality work and looks great, but it's not an equal comparison.

I'm comparing a product I would buy vs one I would not buy. Spin it however you want...

Having coating on a manifold does not add to a discussion of the quality of the port work. Looking at the muse manifold it doesn't really appear to be ported at all. Looks like they spent a total of 10 minutes on it. When a company ports a manifold they have to assume that the customer is taking care of the rest.

I have a BR ported manifold sitting in my garage. Don't make me bust out the camera!!! It looks just as good as the BR ported hotside that Warr posted ( I have one of those as well).

now im no porting expert at all, but the small ammount of common sense & logic i have left over would tell me that if the port on what your bolting the ported manifold to is smaller that what youve ported the manifold out to THEN IT DOESNT MATTER!! infact i agree with a couple of you in that it would have to cause turbulance of some kind. even if itmay be nominal

BTW one more thing. now keep in mind i mean NO disrespect to ANY vendors, but i do a good amount of metal work for a living and although im sure it wouldnt be as good as an aftermarket one or one done by a pro, but any guy with a gasket, sharpe, a die grinder, a bit of free time, and a slight understaning of air flow can port a stock manifold & take it to get plated. it aint quite rocket science....close...but not quite
