You car is boost restricted from the factory and runs in the 10's for AFR from the factory, does that mean dont change it. It is there so asshats dont grenade the drivetrain and try to warranty the car. On a car like this the manufacturer is going to make sure you cant break something as expensive as a transmission. The last thing they want is a bunch of kids buying the car, breaking the transmission and giving the car a bad rep for having weak parts.

Take it out, it will be fine

On a lighter note, 5 people voted to keep it in. Anyone want to explain why they voted that?

There are no ill effects to removing either restrictor pills. My car hasnt blown up nor has the other dozen or so people I know who have done both.

If you are comfortable with it, fine, but don't let other people drive your car unless they know and be prepared to buy a new clutch especially if you launch.
That is why I said no.

Well the whole point is that if you keep it in and launch NOT removing the pill should cause your clutch to wear faster. So this mod would actually help clutch wear, not hurt it.

With the pill in and an Exedy twin SD I got a 1.59 60 foot. But that clutch only lasted me 20,000 miles and I'm starting to think the pill was responsible for the early death.

so i finally removed the pill. It was extremely easy and makes the car feel like it has a normal clutch, no delay in engagement. I also did the clutch line but the hassle of getting it in was not worth the reward.

The pill is there to save the drivetrain.

The drive train doesnt need any help, it is strong enough. The stock clutch on the other hand needs as little slippage as possible.

I know how you feel about the SS clutch line... I said the same thing, as I was expecting a little more then what it gave me after trying to install it. But I will say this, I'm a little more confident in a SS line then the rubber one. I don't think the SS will go bad or tear on me any time soon
