Needs to go fo sho...

It doesnt limit application pressure, but it limits release pressure so it turns your nice brand new clutch into a slipper everytime you shift. If you race you are adding that much more heat and torque to a slipping clutch shortening its life that much faster. I ran 24500 on a stock clutch with many 11 second passes...I had that restrictor out as soon as the car was broke in and before I ever raced.

Removing the pill itself is so easy. It is about a 30 minute job and that is with removing the stock intake box.

Some pics from the install day, i did it at a buddies place as he needed to do the clutch line as well:

Me literally ready to light my car on fire after a long time spent trying to get the line in:

Turco, when paul called to say you guys finally got it in, and I asked him how, I figured his answer would have been something like "we prayed to 5 different gods, sacrificed one of mouse's legs, a small child, and sold half our soul to the devil"..lol

yeah instead it only took: two people, a long pry bar, a grabby tool and the willingness to force your hand into a spot that almost breaks it when you try to thread a bolt in.

I just did mine today and put the SS line in at the same time. I don't think I've ever cursed so much at one bolt as I did at that 17mm banjo. Laaaaame.

I ditched mine as well.

This was also something done quite a bit in the DSM world, and I had no issues in any of my Talons/Eclipses.

i have only seen and heard good things, so as soon as my new clutch and flywheel go in, that pill comes out and the SS line goes in...

A question i have is this: AMS makes a "lower" SS clutch line... is this needed??? I never thought of replacing this part. Has anyone done it or know anything about it? Here is a link to the part and a brief description... is it BS?? or important???

i was reading the how to on removing the restrictor pill. It would seem you could do this w/ the slave cylinder still bolted onto the tranny as long as you undo the banjo bolt holding the hardline to the slave and just open the bleeder to push the pill out right? Just seeing if i can do it w/ the slave still bolted on the tranny... or if anyones done it like that. I already have the S.S. line in. My dumbass thought the pill was in the line and thats why people changed it! Now im finding out its still there! lol..

I totally agree, if you didnt want to change the line you could easily do this with it in the car bolted onto the tranny.
