help please
so i was about to go to the gym and i started up my car...let off the clutch and...bam..stalled...the ebrake was up...i usually dont leave the car in gear, for some reason it was in first. to make a long story short it was a pretty harsh jerk and now my car wont start...like all the electronics are out except if i leave it for a few seconds the door ajar light will come on and the overhead lights. also my battery is relatively new, its a yellow top relocated to my trunk, i checked all of my connections and theyre all good
im thinkin it might need a jump for some reason but that doesnt make sense because it started fine before the stall..also i tried jumping it wit my small batttery that i just took out and all the lights came on and it clicked...just not enough to start cranking. thats why i think it might need a jump
any input

You shouldn't be looking at a dead battery, especially if you have a Yellow Top. Let me get this straight:
- You started the car up with no problems.
- Accidentally let the clutch out while the car was in gear, killing the car.
- Tried to start the car again, but now it won't even crank.
- Interior lights don't come on, unless you open the door. When you do open the door, it's a delayed reaction before the overhead lights and the "door ajar" light on the dash come on.
- When you use your old mini battery as a spare, the starter tries to turn over the motor, but instead it just clicks because of insufficient cranking amps.
Is that about right? If so, did you accidentally let the clutch out while you were still cranking?

first of all, congrats on finally finishing up the relocation! got any pics of it?
what did you use for the ground? did you make sure its an unpainted surface? sounds like a dead battery but, like stated, that seems impossible...especially since it cranked right up to begin with...
did you leave the old ground under the hood exposed? or the positive bundle? if not, maybe they could've hit something and caused a short...

I had something like that happen to me, I was ran off the road by a uhaul truck and went offroading, after i stopped the car shut off. I couldn't start it for the life of me. I had a jump starter in the car and still nothing so I checked the fuses and relays under the hood and noticed that all the relays popped out, I pushed them all back in and the car started right up.
Hopefully this helps.
Hopefully this helps.

A few possibilities:
1. Your Yellow top is dead, which I doubt. Jump start the car.
2. The relays under the hood are not seated properly and are causing this.
3. Your starter was still engaged when you let the clutch out, binding the starter gear up and jamming it in the "start" position. Perhaps it is hung up and will not disengage due to compression in the engine. Try putting your car in 1st while it's turned off and rocking it back and forth just a bit to try and free it up if this is the case, then take it out of gear and try starting it again.

Check for a bad Ground from the battery. This happened to my friends battery, and it was the ground wire that was barely touching, just not enough where the car wouldnt start.

nvmd i figured it out...there was a small thin rubber washer on the bolt i grounded the battery with. It had a tear in it and thats why it was working because the electricity was getting through the tear...when the car jerked it must have moved it a little and closed the tear thus cutting off the connection...well as soon as i removed the washer all the lights went on and the car started up perfectly
thanks for suggestions and everything...i appreciate the help
and ill get pics of my car and the battery setup soon...i have yet to post pics of my car or anything so ill get there...just gotta clean up the relocation kit...tryin to figure out how to properly conceal the neg terminal from stock location, and the positive bundle
