Evo 9 and cams
hello i have a question for you all out there if i replace my stock cams on my 9 with aftermarket cams does it get rid of my MIVEC?
and if yes are there cams that dont?

thats why cams on a evo 8 are different from the evo 9 cams cause of mivec

haha no.. look at cosworth mivec cams or gsc s1, a lot of people have had great success with those cams for the ix

intake cam has the mivec, the exhaust is your standard gear. Cams are mivec only cams will not fit anything else

I personally have driven a IX w/ s1's and it is amazing how hard they pull. I have an VIII and will be buying the s1's as they are a great cam for the evo.

I don't believe anyone has driven an XI, because it doesn't exist.

i was asking this cause iam a honda guy and i know when you buy big cams for a b16 o b18 it gets rid of ur vtech
