WTF is up with this

Ok this has happened a few times and it always happens 2-3 times in a row. I will be driving in 5th gear around 60-70mph and when I push the gas the car acts like it is missing. It has no power and it shakes like crazy. Then it acts fine then repeats itself maybe a few min later, then all is well for say a week or 2. It does not happen everytime I drive. As a matter of fact it started about 3 weeks ago then it did it again yesterday. It did it 3 times with in say 45 min then not once again. Both times were on long drives.

it looks like you got the infamous tranny harmonics P0300 issue. do a search on it. there are a lot of people (myself included) that have this problem. i'm guessing you have a higher mileage evo?

For some reason my car doesn't have the po300. It has 60,000 miles and is an 04

It would be more beneficial to datalog the problem and show a list of modifications

Well I know I have that damn P0300 code, buschur said it would be from my twin disk clutch. I have hard intercooler pipes, exhaust, cams, fuel pump and a reflash. The Reflash has been done for months and it never happened till a few weeks ago. My car has a warranty on it although it does have 71,000 miles on it.

Yeah mine progressively worse after my ACT clutch install at est?56k clutch install. now my 5th gear has a rhythmic sound most audible between 55-69 mph. at the early stages it wasn't noticeable, but after 20k miles later, now is very audible. It's to the point that once I reach 70 in 5th i misfire everytime I press the gas. 5th gear just wears due to the gearing (sort of like a bicycle: pedal gear <the biggest >rotating the smallest 5th gr <rear wheel> at least that's how i made sense of it) Every one revolution by pedaling, equals 3 rotations on the rear wheel (5th gr) . I've also read that the input shaft develops play after high mileage which seems helps to trigger the p0300.

what warranty do you have that covers the tranny after your IC pipes, exhaust, cams, fuel pump, and reflash mods in addition to 71k??

I think we all need to pick up this warranty
