Let me know if you want to get rid of the brake kit.

Making enough power will be easy. Getting the aero balance between low drag and still being able to control the car will be the real challenge. Full ground effects, no lip/splitter and no wing is where I would start...

That car looks beautiful. I bet after everything is said and done that it will give the Bugatti Veyron a run for its money.

what????? 200mph and no downforce??? rather you than me mate.

def worth doing some testing on the aero tho. has it got a completely flat undertray?? it will make a BIG differance! also you might find that a proper diffuser at the back will make more downforce than a wing and cause less drag. is the 'cute really needed? its adding weight and drag to the car.

if you wanted to go exstreme you could always reduce the hight of the roof. thiink norris Design did this with their car.

finally as daft as it sounds i have seen a Focus pushing over 195mph with a HUGE wedge bolted to the front of the car. it was there to try and reduce drag thanks to the front of the car. looked stupid but worked a treat!

what size are those rotors on the car??

Thanks Chris.

Yeah, but if you want max speed, then that is the game to play. Look at what has to happen to the Veryon to go into top speed mode (less wing, lower suspension), and it snaps out of that mode as soon as you twitch. Look at the Honda F1 car that ran at Bonneville ... no rear wing. Looked quite naked, hehe...

and don't forget to duct tape all the seams of the car. that helps too.

Man that's a cool project. I never thought of using an evo for this competition, but i love when people do something different.

I am really interested to see how you guys are able to work out the aerodynamics of the car so keep us posted with pics

i agree with you on that, but you dont have the air brake or fancy stuff on an Evo. so if it dose get loose you in for some trouble!

as for the F1 have you seen how much downforce those things make???? and the rear wing actaully adds little. its the underbody where the most happens.

having spoke to guys that have run the standing mile stuff before in 1000+bhp mid engined MOSNTERS you need some downforce or you are asking for trouble. wings or "spoilers" aren't allways the best way. flat underbodies will help reduce firction as well as give a little downforce and keep the car stable.

here is one of the guys im talking about and his car.

and here is a customers.
