After a fruitless search I am curious if anyone can tell me if a VIII 5spd can be mounted in a IX MR?

 

you can do it you'll just require some parts from a 5spd car. i don't know exactly what you'll need but its on here somewhere or somebody knows exactly. I think CBRD did this to there time attack car

 

you need the shift cable brackets the mount on the trans, you need the cables themselves, and the shift box and center console (otherwise it hits inside)...

and you need to either cut the harness off of the gearbox you are swapping in, and solder the wires in, or buy the proper wiring harness.

its not a bad swap at all, about 1.5 hours more than doing a clutch by itself.
