Just to let you guys know, the drain and fill plugs on the 6-speed transmission are different. They require a 10mm allen. I recommend a socket-style allen key, but I was able to remove both with the normal "L" shaped allen wrench. The fill plug is removed easiest from the top of the engine bay when using the normal "L" shaped allen wrench.

The 6-speed also uses a little less fluid than the 5-speed. Around 2.5 quarts should fill it nicely ...

The other drain plugs are all 24mm and the fill plugs are 17mm, just as they are on the normal 5-speed cars.

(I know this is posted in a couple of other older threads on the forum, but I thought a specific thread would help searching.)

I bought some at Hillco fastener warehouse inc. 714-657-7455.
Its an 18Mx1.5 drain plug. The replacement I got just had a regular bolt head on it, not the allen. I also did a somewhat complex pump/cooling setup so I ended up with special hollow plugs for flow to lines.

The part number I have for the regular extra drain plug I bought was
AV15529

If you just google that a bunch of auto supply places will come up to order online. Its relatively standard.

Dude, that's the hardware store to go to for any car related hardware. They practically have EVERYTHING, if not they can get it easily!

For non SoCal peeps, they will have to order it online of course, but man that place is awesome, has!

Also, King Bolts is decent too, but not as good as Hillco though.

Good on you, fireroasted.

For anyone else that might be interested, that part is actually made by a company called 'Auveco' - I actually managed to find a box of 5 on ebay.
