Boost Leak at Throttle Body??
Boost Leak at Throttle Body??
I performed a boost leak check yesterday and after fixing a few leaks I found a leak through the stock BPV. First question, to plumb this up I connected the pressure to the outlet side of this valve and still got leakage, is this the correct way to do this?
Second question, I'm more concerned that I hear leakage past the throttle body where the throttle wire connects to it. It gets worse if I put a little side rpessure on it with my finger, but sometimes gets better if I turn the throttle, like I was stepping on the gas? Any thoughts??

I've seen Evo 9's with less than 6k on them with bad throttle seals.
I suspect some of them are damaged from the factory.
Then there are Evo's like mine, 45,000 miles, seen 30psi+ and eleventy billion heat cycles and boost lap after lap at the track and my factory seals are still good.

i made over 500hp on meth with a throttle bodie that sisses on meth...there isnt a real problem..do a boost leak test..see how quick the pressure goes down by looking at ur boost gauge..if it holds pretty well and goes down real slow there isnt a big reason to fix right away..........obviously mitsu has a reason for doing this..if its that common on cars that are that new..
