Bypass the Hot H2O in throttle body ?

I did a pressure test and found I had leaking thottle plate seals so I changed the seals.

Ever since I took the TB off I have been wondering why we have 200 deg. water going through the TB. Can I bypass it when the weather warms up, anybody done this "mod"

My coolant lines are not hooked up to the throttle body. However, I live in California. If you live in cold weather, you may have hesitation when the car isn't warmed up.

Good question? I can't see any harm in bypassing it other than in very cold climates.

If the outside temp is never really going below freezing where you live, you can bypass it.

Good choice to bypass it in the warmer climates...unfortunately I live in Minnesota and no matter how far below zero it gets the car is still driven.

That's the weirdest thing I've heard of. Hot water running close to the fuel..? The warmer the fuel, the less efficient it is. I must now investigate

It may have derived from our 13 years of 4g63 experience and 12 4g63's owned, including two Evo's. But what do we know.

We have tuned from Miami FL to Anchorage, Alaska in person. We are well versed in geographic climates, thanks.

i have done this on my old cars but i haven't done it on my evo. i believe the primary reason why there is a fuild line on the tb is to prevent the tb plates from getting stuck. primary reason is freezing weather. i'm pretty sure its ok to bypass it. and if u encounter any problems u can always put it back.

well i have had no issues and my car is not setup as easy as others. its very finicky with some of the mods i have. and i never herd of others having issues. i still feel its a tuning thing. OR can be corrected with proper tuning. maybe thats why i dont have issues
