I was wondering how much extra power I would gain with C16 and VP Import over just the 93+100% Meth? I am going for a Tune with Buschur sometime soon and am trying to see if it would be worth it to get a tune for either C16 or Import Fuel on top of my normal map? About what differnce does it usuall make and which would you go with?

I am wondering becuase I am sposed to race for money this year at the track against some kids my gf goes to school with who have been talking **** and I want to beat the **** out of them. So I want to know what will make the most power and if its worth it for the differnce in $$$?

Your going to want to discuss it with buschur 1st of all. If he is doing the tuning he will suggest what he wants to tune the car on.. Judging by your mods i highly doubt hell use import and at 20+/gallon ill bet you wont want to use it either..

Just pm him. I'm sure he'll respond. David is very good about answering questions. I would suspect though that 93 and meth will do a very good job of making great power and come close to maxxing out the stock evo IX turbo.

 

Definitely talk with David about it since he is the tuner. But he will tell you C16 as I just had a similar discussion with him a month ago. Regardless, you have no use for Import with your basic mods. Similar set ups to yours are making 400/400 on 110 and 116. C16 will be fine and will give you more whp than 93+ meth. Both Import and C16 are recommended for high amounts of boost(38+) and that is coming directly from VP fuel techs. However, most people are having good luck with the C16 even at low boost levels of 28 or so. Hope this helps you a little.

 

i didn't see what turbo you're running, but the walbro tells me it's nothing huge. i am 99.99% possitive c16 will be enough for you. you'll run out of turbo/timing on c16 WAY before you even see any kind of knock. only the nastiest of set-ups is vpimport even considered. even then, it's only used because tuners don't want to bother with setting their cars up for methanol.

 

what is he racing against? Good list of mods as is.

Ok thanks alot. I am supposed to a Auto 91 camaro with a little done and a 02 Probe GT Turbo. I will wax both of them as is, but since were going to race for money, I just want to make it that much more embarrasing for them.

I didnt think I would need import, just threw it into the mix for the heck of it.

And yea, I will probably run C16 when I race them. I am also going to race 2 2004 Z06s. One is completely stock and the other had just a tune. I think I can take them both but those races will just be for fun.

Dude, Im pretty sure stock you would anally violate a Probe GT turbo and and 91 Camaro with a little work. They are both horribly slow stock so even with an extra 100whp I doubt they would even be close to a stock EVO. You could blow them away on 87 octane and 18psi.

 

A full bolt on, cammed stock turbo EVO VIII (and u have an IX turb), on pump gas should run 115-117mph. Neither of those cars unless they are WORKED will even come close to running that.

 

It depends how much meth, and how aggresive... You can tune more aggressively on straight c16..

Personally I couldnt make more than 420 on c16 with my car... i made 438 on meth with more power left.... You have alot more mods than i did at that point...


I doubt those cars are even trapping 100

 

hahahhaa those cars a a joke i kno a kid with a probe and he thinks its the fastest thing on the planet he claims 9 sec 1/4 so please smoke these guys. c16 is all you need especially with your meth to anihilate those cars. the zo6 on the other hand wat years lol the new zo6 has some *****. you on c16 should take him out anyway but it might get hairy if he's tuned

 

yea im not worried about the GT or Camaro, I just want to destroy the **** out of both of them because everyone in their town think they are god! The kit with the probe had the ***** to tell my girlfriend that my cars a POS! lol coming from a kid with a ford probe.

The Z06s are both 2004 so I think I should be able to get them. Im not planning on any big wins with them, I just want to race them for fun and see how we all compare.

The probe and camaro though I want to absolutely humiliate just because they talk WAY too much **** for the cars they drive!

4WS, about how much HP would you think I can get with Buschur Tuning my set-up on 93+meth and C16? you said you made 438 with meth and I have more mods, so should I be expect around 450?

dont get too far ahead of yourself comparing someone elses car and mods.. Just cause you have more doesnt mean you will make more.. I can tell you at the end of the day you will make the most HP your car can safely make with DB tuning so just get it done and post the results..
