ive set the MBC 3 separate ways...
1 - LICP nipple to bottom of MBC, side of MBC to lower wastegate nipple, top hole vta
2 - LICP nippe t'd to bottom of MBC and lower WGA nippe and top WGA nipple to side of MBC
3 - LICP nipple to side of MBC, lower nipple of WGA to bottom of MBC
all ways produce the same results... with both wastegates.
edit: actually, ive also set it up in the same configuration as above with the LICP nipple capped off and using the BOV return line as a pressure source as well. So every configuration above where it says LICP insert T'd into BOV return line.
Well your RPM's arent dropping or stagnating when this occurs right? So it's mechanical, its not hard to produce wastegate boost, something is definately up with a pipe somewhere, or possibly a turbo issue. Did you ever get the exhaust checked out like was suggested somewhere in an above post?

exhaust checking is supposedly happening today... just spoke with the owner on the phone about half an hour ago. He is going to get his state inspection done then pulling his exhaust off and leaving on the DP and he is going to try that.
no RPM issues, im sure its mechanical, its just what part of the mechanical that eludes me

Seems like if it's not leaking before the turbo you should be making boost. So either the exhaust has some serious clog (which you would know for sure), or the problem is in the eg.manifold/turbo area. Im really not too sure what else it could be. If your getting fuel and spark, your plumbing is correct and leak-free, the block passes leakdown tests, hmm.. Mabye one of the vaccuum lines you are using has a clog or bend?

they are as straight and as short as possible. The nipple in the LICP sits directly below the MBC and is about a 2 ft run, the wastegate is about 8 inches away from the MBC and is a direct run. Unless i gorilla'd the zip ties on, which i didnt, im not sure what could be causing it... and if i did, then when i ran open lines, i should have seen a change. Something has to be clogged somewhere. Id think if it was internally, the engine wouldnt run as well as it does.... she runs great. Regular driving, she is perfect, try to get into boost and she goes limp but the turbo is spinning like she is suppose to

checked plugs, they are fairly new...
denso ikh24 gapped at .024 ....
porcelain is still white, gaps look good. Im getting good spark.
even if that were the problem, id build boost before 4000 with a 30R. I dont actually start to build boost until 4000 and then my max is .8bar by 5500 or 6000.

+1 i ran into something very simular... i did a mock up of some headers and i didn't tighten down a couple of the bolts and i was using a ceramic gasket (temp. one) and it got sucked right down and chewed apart... i had to pull everything out and clean it... but thats besides that fact

i thought about that being broken or pinched or something, however the log only shows 120 to 140 load and the car does not feel like she is boosting to 20. Its pretty obvious.... i am looking for a local MBC to swap with right now, but no luck yet. Even if i had one though. it cant be an MBC problem, i have tried routing the LICP directly to the wastegate and it has no effect.

did u check the plugs? and what kind of plugs does it have? sounds just like what my car was doing working just fine before I get into high boost
