Have you checked this turbo to see if it got clipped/damaged? It wouldnt explain why it was boosting way low to start with, but I spose it might be worth a look, other than the time involved in pulling it apart.

I doubt this is tune related but if you want to, send me a copy of the ROM and I can take a look at it. Extra set of eyes and all.

Jason, Bobby: do any of these sound like they might be the problem? I did some research and found these problems to cause the same symptoms I have.

FPR vac lines.

EGR vacuum lines.

Throttle body seals.

TPS

Cam/Crank Position Sensors

Skipped tooth on Timing Belt

Not all of them together of course, but maybe one of these is causing my car to be gay.

FPR and EGR has been checked and they are routed correctly...

Throttle body seals when we leak tested did leak somewhat, but about as much as every other car i have ever leak tested lol.... mine sounds the same, but works fine.

TPS... is returning the proper percentage in evoscan so i doubt it is that....

Cam Crank sensor... you have no codes showing, normally when there is an issue with those, a code is thrown. Hell, when there are no issues, a code is thrown lol. You dont have one.

Skipped tooth on timing belt ... been check as well and besides, your car runs too smooth out of boost IMO to be a skipped tooth. Its usually pretty noticeable. We will check it again to see if maybe it has moved since we last checked it, but i doubt it.

you sayed on the first post:

"Car has been compression checked, has been leak tested and aside from getting a solid answer about how to hook up the boost controller, everything looks to be perfect."

What solid answer did you need... maybe you hooked up the boost controller incorrectly...

spend a few minutes and READ the post before posting the same thing everyone else has. I have posted at least 10 times in here answering questions to people... and 3 of those answers at least has been the MBC is not bad.... it has been checked.

did you ever figure out the problem? i have been experiencing this same problem for about 2 months now. i use to run 24psi all day long with no problems. then one day it would only boost to 11-12 psi but has recently gone down to 6-7. same symptoms you have. lags till around 5k then hits 7. i have checked everything i can possibly think of and have read hundreds of threads about similar problems with no success. let me know if you have the solution, we might have the same problem.

This was my car and the problem was that BigRic up there put the wrong hotside on my turbo! lol

Check if that's your problem, but if you're not running a bigger turbo like i am (GT30) then it's probably a boot/exhaust leak.

Just make sure you get the correct hotside for whatever turbo you get. My car was fine the whole time. Just that hotside I had was for a 35R. Ever since, she's ran great! I'd run 30 PSI if I had the internals for it.
