how much stronger are these clutchs, Mine just burnt out at 2,600 miles. and I do know how to drive. I think my clutch was made of peanut butter. anywho has anyone had problems with dealers not wanting to cover. how long does factory warranty cover the stock clutch. I may be interested by nessecity.

The dual plate is rated at 700 ft/lbs of torque and the single disc is rated at 400...

Regardless, you aren't possibly going to burn one out anytime soon.

I would like to know how much they are, single or double.

BTW, the Ralliart dual plate one is an Exedy OEM.

will you lose or gain anything out of it. In the beat the sti article in last months ssc mag the car with the upgraded clutch had a slower take off. Is that a possiblity with the evo. I had slippage at 2400 miles now I have 3100 and I barely got it to the mitsu dealership. When I left it it would barely engage at all. Doesn't mitsu warranty clutchs until 12,000 miles. At this pace when I change my oil I will have a curtesy clutch installed. It pisses me off they are going to have to take my car apart at 3,000 miles. If warranty does not cover I guess I will be in.

Still interested in the twin disk - I'd like to be happy and not worry about the clutch. No problems with the stock one so far...

I have the money right now for a twin disk clutch so count me in. I don't believe there is anything wrong with my clutch as of yet, but the way everyone is talking about their clutches burning out so early in the game I want to stay on the safe side and have this clutch ready when the time comes. Esspecially if the price is going to be way below retail.

Just curious, where is everyone going to take their Evo's to have their new twin disk clutches installed? Are you going to take it to Mitsubishi or an independent auto shop?

the only other thing that you would need is the stock Throw out Bearing. install is about 600 for a shop that is not tring to screw you.

will they come with the light weight flywheel or no?

Good question TPM. Also what about the Presure plate?

Which one will give the feel of the stock clutch? Not too hard.

I think if you have Mits. put it in the will try to FOUCK with your warrenty. And if you take it to some shop it will be there first clutch job on a Evo.

wow, glad to see this much interest. im on my lunch break, so it will be after i get off work until i have a final price. hopefully my source has it for me. im not sure on the total number of people we can have on this, but il try and get as many as possible.

to the people that needed the clutch yesterday.. i needed my clutch a few weeks ago, and was unable to go to the dsm shootout because of it. my stock clutch is copmpletely gone.

i will make a list by the 1st person who posted, and move down from there. also, i might try to give priority to people who are in dire need to a clutch like me, and who have the money for it right away. im not sure how i will do payment yet, but it will likely be paypal or i will have you call directly to the source. also, im pretty sure excedy does not allow "drop shipping" so it will be shipped to us, then right to you. il be on later today.
