possible group buy on excedy twin disks
I've got a very important question for everyone. I was looking into purchasing a Cusco twin disk clutch but now I'm starting to get bits and pieces from people who truely know what they hell they are talking about. If I get this clutch and it comes with a light weight flywheel also, will I have to go and find a throw out bearing or do I use the one that is already in the car, or is that not possible? People are saying it's plug and play but I have a feeling it's much more than that. Clutch Master now has a single disk for out cars with no flywheel but comes with a throwout bearing. Which is the prefered way to go?
I really don't see a problem using the OEM throw out bearing with the Excedy clutch. You might even be able to use the one you already have as long as you don't tear it up during the install of the new clutch.
Unfortunately what I installed my new clutch we had the tear the throw out bearing to pieces in order to disconnect the trany from the block.
If you by a brand-new clutch and it does, with the new throw out bearing I would recommend that you use that throw out bearing. The Excedy does not come with the throw out bearing so you fored to use the OEM one.

So far there is not Aftermarket throw out bearing available. Only the OEM is avaiable.
As for the exedy disc, single or double, it is recommended to use the OEM throw out bearing.
And for a piece of free advice, When having a clutch installed, I would recommend that you buy or have next to you a throw out bearing.
I know TODA Racing will have a complete package in the next 6 weeks. They are putting an EVO together with the 2.3 liter upgrade kit and they want to see how well there kit works. They have discs available. Currently.

Hey Chillin...
Most group buys announce delivery dates once all slots in the group are filled.
If you need the part right now, you should probably look elsewhere....as group buys are a good place to get a good price, not necessarially a good delivery date.
