boost creep

Yea I have a Question? I have a IX, With a 3'' turbo back Injen intake system that i just installed now in 3rd and 4th gear around 5500 to 6000 rpm the boost creeps up to about 22psi and hit's a fuel cut. But if i put the baffle in the exhaust the boost wont spike and it's fine. Any feedback would be great, thanks

Yeah, 22 PSI on a IX should be no problemo. You just need an MBC and a tune.

You are probably hitting fuel cut because your boost limits are being exceeded at that RPM...check your tune....or have it checked...

Even with an MBC, if your car exceeds the boost limits it WILL boost cut....

It is acting normally. Get that MBC or flash with boost control done so it will help your issue.

How does a MBC ALONE help boost creep?

I'm sure you know this but:

Boost creep is when the car is producting so much flow from the decreased restriction in exhaust gases such that they overcome the bypass wastegate hole and still continue to accelerate the turbo which causes the boost to continue to climb. And this is with the wastegate WIDE open (so boost controller is already bleeding the max pressure).

The only fix is to eliminate the boost cut off from the ECU via a flash(which you stated) -OR - introduce a restriction back into the exhaust (i.e. cat, or smaller pipes).
