Titek downpipe and Ebay o2 housing question

Hello All,

I currently have a WORKS 70mm downpipe mated to a stock o2 housing. I am in the process of switching my setup to a Titek downpipe with an eBay o2 housing but I am having some difficulty.

The WORKS downpipe has an exhaust donut gasket on it. I do not know if it is a stock one or not, but it does not fit on my Titek downpipe and it did not come with its own donut gasket. There is also some kind of adapter piece on the stock o2 housing that connects to the donut gasket. This piece also does not fit on my eBay o2 housing.

What do I need to make the connection work? Do I need both a donut gasket (that fits) and the adapter piece? Any help is appreciated.

TIA

Is the adaptor your talking about the metal L-ring that holds the gasket material? The donut gasket is a metal ring with a lip and gasket material. I hear of people porting the inside of the donut gasket to fit the aftermarket o2 housing.

What you are describing is correct. The ring with metal lip that holds the gasket material does not support the Titek/eBay combo. Is there any alternative to porting it out?

Ok, I did some research...

A tight fit, but seems like an OEM donut gasket will work for the setup I want. I cannot tell if the donut I have is OEM or specific to the WORKS dp I have. If it's OEM, it should fit; if not, I need to get one.

Does that sound right?

If it fits around the o2-lip, and mates curve to curve with the DP your in business.
