This morning, and a few other instances. When I hit the gas in fifth gear around 2.5K rpm...it jumped up to about 4.5/5K then jumped back down and went normal. Is this just a sign that the clutch/flywheel is going? or something a little more major?

 

clutch going... you need a new clutch soon. especially at WOT.... but usually first sign is when it start to build boost.

 

yeah usually it starts to slip in the highest gear, due to having the biggest load, at least thats how it is on all other cars.

The evo for some reason, when the clutch is going it usually will slip in every gear as soon as you hit boost.

 

I wasn't WOT, and it still did it. How long you think I got left?

 

stop boosting on it, just get it taken care of asap

 

change it out ASAP, otherwise you will have to pay for a tow.
