Boost Creep.

im flashed for my basic mods... tbe drop in filter and fuel pump...but with my addition of my HKS rs intake and megan o2 housing i seem to be having some issues with my boost creeping...now.. is this a direct relationship to my mods i put on because i am not tuned for them? meaning if i get tuned for them will this problem go away or.. will i still have the issue?

just looking for someone elses opinion. because personally i believe its the addition of the mods and with a tune it should go away...many people said it shouldnt happen with the megan o2 housing. but after i put in my HKS rs intake it wasnt happening until i recently installed the megan o2..

Its the 02 housing. I went through this same scenario. I pulled off my DP and ported my wastegate merge hole on my 02 housing and it cured it.

Just make sure you make the hole at least twice as big.
It took me 2 porting jobs and no more boost creep. Well it still creeps to about 18psi, but i am targeting 22psi, so its all good. Good luck.

The merge port is oval shaped and its narrowest diameter should measure at least 34mm.

I have a Megan 02, and am creeping to 27psi. I did 345wtq on a Mustang to prove it. Retuned now though, and replaced the Forge MBC with a Hallman Pro. It seemed to help a little. I'll be doing some porting though.

joey...You seem to be running pretty high boost levels which will probably go even higher with the addition of the alky. You might benefit from a HD WG actuator. Both the Forge IX actuator or the Forced Performance piece are good.

Since you are going to be pulling the O2 hsg. anyway to port it´then you might as well yank off the turbine housing and enlarge the entrance to the WG bypass port. Pay special attention to the turn in radius from each scroll into the bypass ports. It is that transitional radius which needs to be opened opened up´as this helps the exhaust gases from the scroll area change flow direction.

Also-you´ll want to be running as much WG preload as possible. At least about 20 PSI of preload for 25 through 28 PSI peak.

I have an FP HP WGA as well, should add it to my mods list. Right now it is adjusted to the Standard setting (3 turns past 0).

Thank you for the info!

Would preloading it so heavily cause more boost creep?

Depends on the backpressure, but generally speaking, yes. The lower the backpressure, the higher the likelihood to creep as well.
