I can see U2SLOW's grin all the way from here. One more time, GREAT job DB and congratulations on sticking with getting exactly what you wanted Pete. One Killer car.

Just look at the results of Peters car, you be the judge! Let’s see DI manifold spooled faster than stock ported manifold and 65mm TB. Made good solid 35whp and 35 ft lb that’s on pump and on race if timing wasn’t pulled as David stated to keep the tune conservative I say about 40whp+ gain up top also.
So from stock manifold and stock TB (ported stock manifold and 65mm TB gains are 15whp) to the setup I suggested to Peter gains were what only about 50whp over stock!?!

Yes, I agree Tom, I did have to pull some timing from the tune on the race gas. The gains on race gas had I been able to leave the tune the same would have been in the 35-40 whp/tq range.

He is standing right next to me now as Sharkebite is preparing his evo (removing the spare tire) - he seems to have a huge grin confident that his pump gas Buschur car will out due the sharkbite car on race gas

Good luck Peter and Sharkbite. Be careful, those are two very fast cars.

Sadly when it came time to race Sharkbite's car developed a series of problems and wound up unable to drive

Sharkbite then took BAD BISH for a ride and said "David Buschur is a genious"

I have a video of the whole showdown which I will get up as soon as possible

At the end of the multi day events of racing the BAD BISH car beat all takers and is the Champion of CT (until my car runs)

Kind of interesting that Dave's test comparing STOCK mani and TB did not spool faster at all, in fact torque was well down before 5k rpm. And the gains were 25 whp up top.

I'm not meaning to be rude, just simply pointing out the discrepancy in the results. Not saying one result is more indicative of the your intakes performance or not.

Do you have any dyno tests of your own for the intake for the Evo?

I know when we start my testing on the manifolds the test will have every log we can humanly come up with put up for you guys to see. Martin from AMS and Lucas English will be working together on the testing also with the manifolds. I have no doubt between both me and Davids testing we can come up with some of the best data to date on these manifolds

You know it's so interesting, but yes a bit controversial...

AMS 37R fully built car makes 400 something on pump.

Buschur 35R fully built car makes over 600 on pump.

I don't think that AMS was trying to push any limits on pump whereas the Buschur car was. The AMS race gas tune went in and the car made 700+. It looks to me that the car and tuning performed exactly how it was supposed to, tame on pump and a monster on C16.

30 psi vs 22 psi.

I'm in the DB camp but you are comparing 2 very different pump gas tuning methods, it wasnt supposed to be a showdown or AMS would have prepared for such. Its at the foolish discretion of Al to create controversy and now tensions for shops that get along. How DB can have Al as a spokes person for his company is beyond me and as far as I can see the only pitfall to Buschurs winning platform.
