HTA35r is much more efficient turbo than a 67ptrim. Tuning was also different with different goals.

Obviously AMS and Buschur are great companies and there simply is no doubt they both are very good tuners. The difference in power I'd have to suspect has to do with:

- Each tuners amount of faith in active knock control of AEM?

- Each tuners believe in the notion of: "getting a bad tank of gas"

- What the customers emphasis was on, ie power or reliability

Obviously AMS knows how to turn the boost up and map a timing curve so I have to believe the three points above are the difference between the two cars.

That said, I do believe down the road Buschur isn't going to be the only shop putting out very powerful customer cars on pump. Even though that is how things are now.

Just went for a ride in Petes Bad Bish and i can honestly say this is the fastest street car i have ever been in in my life. The life was just spinning the tires all the way to 100mph, Pete and Buschur put togather one crazy car.

We just talked with AL on the phone and I think this was just a big misunderstanding. AL came off a bit harsh but he can see where we are coming from and we are working things through. Things are being worked out for Steve's car as we speak and hopefully he will be back on the road in no time.

You are a braver man than I - I dont have the ***** to get in the passenger seat of that car

About a year or more ago I drove the OKIX 's nearly identical Evo IX and sat in the back seat trying to tune it in OK with the aem and when he did a 1 - 2 - 3 launch it took about 3 years off my life and re-arranged my internal organs

Buschur FTW !

I agree - the work quality on the AMS car is top notch and as anyone would expect in racing a 720 whp car there may be a few bugs to work out the first time you try to race it. It all looks like minor repairs needed and I am sure that when they are corrected the BAD BISH will be willing to give a REMATCH to Sharkbite !

I am having Andre at ICS (close friend of mine) take a look at Steve's car so we can try and work out the issues and get him back on the road. All that video did was prove a very fast and nice car beat a car that was having some problems.

I posted in another thread that the white car from Buschur is a purpose built car and is very light. Although Steve's car was making more HP at the time of the race the weight disadvantage Steve is at will be hard to overcome.

Don't worry we will have steve hauling *** down the road in no time.

Eric
My man ! That is the way AMS rolls! Taken care of buisness.

It takes a great company to give great after care service and I am sure that the few minor bugs on Steve's car will be fixed and respolved in no time.

I can't wait for the rematch.

Al

"Buschur Built Bad Bish beats down AMS built Sharkbite2000"

The title of my thread is very accurate and that is what happend

The BAD BISH car came on pump gas driven from Long Island and showed up to race

two cars lines up and the race started - at the end of the race the BAD BISH was way out in front

Score one for Buschur

Just think Al, you got to be in Panda for 50% of it's 'hard driving' life. The only other time was when it killed a 570whp supercharged Cobra. Now, it's just waiting for a ride to Colorado.
For the record: OKIX 's car was not the one. It was mine he's talking about. Al did the original tune on OKIX's car when it was first purchased in 2006.

That makes sense AMS but some like me aren't blood thirsty, but just naturally curious why we see differences between shops customer cars.

Regarding the issues in the video I agree. If I was video taping some racing like Al did and there was some obvious issues with a car, then as far as I'm concerned there was no race and no reason to post a video. I mean what is video worthy about a race that essentially never went down or was fair?

what my point of view is that there are 2 amazing cars build from two very good shops and Al thought it would be good to have them meet up and have some friendly racing. and also something for Al to post and video and talk about. Yet , knowing that Al is BR all the way but he does not down on other cars.

The problem is I am the camera guy and I usually get so excited that my hands and body are literally shaking

My goal is to recruit some assistant to do the camera work for me so I can drive with both hands and not have to race with one hand and video tape with the other
