I think every single AEM CDI box ever made (originally) failed. OK, maybe a few didn't. I think we sent back close to 10 of them for warranty. We got screwed and never got one back. There was suppose to be a new design released and then they were to be replaced.........We ended up switching to these MW boxes and the failure rate (unless someone washes them and gets water in them) has been pretty scarce. They are the most reliable ignition we have ever used. MSD sucks too, may as well have a spare one in your trunk as it is going to fail for sure.

When is it needed? When a set of good stock plug wires and good plugs won't keep up. I'd say 500 whp typically, sometimes with 30+ psi even if the boost is lower it can happen too.

So... besides the 12VDC and ground.... the COP will plug in the two OEM IGN plugs?

Jrod,

Thanks for the clarification! I was one of the few believers that thought the COP only worked with standalones!

Hi Buschur,

What W&M CDI are you using in your kit: the Pro 12 or Pro 14?

Thanks
Ran

Do have independent confirmed use of your COP with US Evos on stock ECU? I wish I had another screen name as this is a genuine question and not some attempt at a backhanded vendor bash. Thanks.

We do not have them instock. We had 10 last week, they are gone. If you don't place an order for one the chances of ever getting one is slim to none, we just can't keep them.

We do not have any special deals on them, sorry. It's easy to justify selling a product cheaper when there was no R&D in it and it was just copied, in our case we actually put the time into the development of the COP's for both the DSM's and the EVO's. Before Buschur Racing released these products there were no COP's for any of these cars.
