Any reason yours is particularly lagtastic?

This is my "2.3 37R @27psi" with the pump gas/alky tune.
Actually it spools fairly normally for what it is. Full boost in the 5200 region.

Makes more power than yours too

Different dynos, go dyno yours in 3rd gear on a dynojet and see what you get.

7Psi higher, I'd hope it would make more power, but for a 2.3 the power under 5k rpm is low IMO. I asked the OP in AIM if he knew what WG spring pressure he was using as well was what MBC he had been using, he was unsure, maybe you can shed some light? Hotside?

Different dynos, different loading, alot of stuff different, I wouldn't worry about it.

Sean I've never dynod a car or even seen it but I'm curious... on the road a car spools earlier in the rpm range in higher gears. Is this true on a dyno?

Also what is the most common gear to dyno cars in?

As far as hotside..not sure. MBC is a hallman pro and I'm not sure what WG spring is in the car. Sean did a great job and I'll be going back soon for the other tune.

I would assume it would spool earlier in the higher gear with the higher load. Most the cars that I've seen, including mine, were dynoed in 3rd gear.

That is a little lazy for the setup. Peak torque(and probably peakboost) at 5600-5700 and because of the stroker only revving to 7500 makes for a 2k powerband. Im sure it would still be fun to drive, but if it were mine, I'd like more than 2k of power.

On the dynojet dyno, if you dyno in 3rd vs 4th you get more torque on some cars as it loads the car more, so the car has more time to spool the turbo.
This is why it may look as if the car is spooling late, it really isnt. If i ran that car in 4th on the dyno you would see a change. If you know your dyno then you can get the results.

Yo I got to ride in this car. Did you get the stalling to stop? Why did it need a retune?

IMHO I think a HTA 35R would be the turbo of Choice. Has all the power needed and a much MUCH better power curve.

I spoke to him regarding this but I think he wants the power of a 37r or bigger turbo. With a 35r, his area under the curve would be amazing but would be limited to around 650whp. Haha I think he's going for 1000whp next

When does this car make 30 psi on the road in 3rd or 4th?
