power steering
What makes it whine? Mine has been doing this for some time I replaced the powersteering pump and it was still there. If i remove the accessory belt it goes away, so I used the stethoscope and the noise is coming from the powersteering pump... Anyone have this powersteering wine and if so whats the fix?
To bleed it you got to lift the front tires off the ground, disconnect the crank sensor, and turn the starter several moments while turning steering wheel full left and righ checking for fluid level and bubbles.
If that doesnt help try free spinning it to see if it binds.
it is normal to have mild whining at higher rpm
If your idle is too high it will normally be a little noisy

The wining makes my car sound like its supercharged lol it has been like this for a about a year and a half. That is how I bleed it c6c6ch3evo... I want to eliminate the powersteering because I cant figure this out. Maybe I can get some people to chime in. Chris from ams heard it and was worried about the noise the first time he tuned my car. The noise is still there and and the car has no problems driving fine. The car has seen days at the track like this with no problem.

you can bleed it by just starting the car wheels on the ground and turn it lock to lock no need to jack the car up and turn the starter and disconnect sesnors of any sort start the car turn it lock to lock and until the noise is about gone check the fluid for bubbles and top it off should be good unless you have another bad pump or the wrong type of fluid.
