injector stuck open

Ok I made a thread earlier about which injectors to buy because I thought my injector on cylinder #1 died. I was rethinking things and decided to investigate what happened and see if you guys have some advice. Last night I tried to install my zeitronix wideband using the directions and the RRE ECU pin out guide. I wired up the unit to the ECU put it all back together and started the car. It tried to start then stumbled and died. I checked my fuses and I noticed I blew the 15a engine fuse under the dash. So just to test I replaced it and it blew again when I tried starting the car. So I knew something was wrong so I decided to uninstall the wideband and try again. This time the car started but it ran like ****. I could smell fuel and noticed that white unburnt fuel was coming out of my exhaust like mad. I pulled a P0201 code from my logger, which is a malfunction on injector #1. I decided I would put a screwdriver to the injector to hear if it was clicking open and sure enough it was silent. So I thought ok there we go it's dead I need a new one. I ordered a set and now I'm just waiting staring at my car. So this afternoon I figure I would start making sure my ECU connections are all tightened up after playing around under there I look at the ECU pinouts and realize I connected ground from the zeitronix to the pinout for injector #1 instead of ground. Great I'm a moron, I know you can flame all you want. Honestly, though, I studied the pinout guide for a few days before I tried the install. I was just tired and rushing since it was the end of the day and I needed to get the car out of my work shop area. So anyway after the long story, what did I do? Did I short out the injector? Or did I short out a ground wire somewhere in the wiring system that melted the wire. I'm not really a wiring guru so at this point i'm lost. I've taken the wiring from the injector all the way back to the split to the fuse box under the hood to the ECU and haven't seen any damage so I'm hoping it's the injector. Tomorrow I'll switch injectors with the other working ones and see what happens but for now I was hoping someone here had some advice
