clutch slipping?

ok, I bought my car with an exedy twin disk already installed. I know it's only been on there for a bit more than a year so I don't think its that worn out yet. I also don't know if its a SD or HD but I don't want to pay someone to opening it up to check. The engagement of this clutch is also very weird. I need to push it down all the way to get into gear, not even 1 mm short. Even if i just lift it like 1mm while in 1st it'll feel like its creeping forward, but does not grab at all yet. Then i'll keep releasing and still nothing, and all of a sudden at the very very end it grabs and grabs hard. I was thinking if the clutch was worn out, it would grab at the end but would not start to engage so early. So I was wondering if this has anythign to do with exedy's.

The thing is the clutch started slipping this winter. Do I need to warm it up? how much? I'm not too keen on burning my clutch to warm it up every day. I've also tried bleeding the clutch/brakes, adjusting the pedal, etc. but it still engages weirdly and slips in WOT 3rd and 4th sometimes. Anyone with this problem?

Describe the slipping.

From what you've said so far it sounds like the friction discs are worn out. . .
