i have an 05 evo 8 with catback exhaust, injen intak and IC pipes, and a greddy bov with a retune. i was told that my car won pass. with your guys exp.. Will my car pass?

 

The reason they are saying that is because the exhaust and it can amplify the amount of hydrocarbons and NOx that comes out of your exhaust. Since your in Cali i believe they do sniffer tests as well, but if you have a cat. than you should be fine for the most part. The intake and the tune should lean out your AFR's enough to where it should pass the sniffer test. If they don't do a sniffer test than it doesn't matter cause Evos are OBD-II and all they should do is plug the machine into your OBD-II port and as long as you don't have a CEL/SES you'll pass.

 

yeah i have the stock cat,all i have is what i said. nothing else. so do you think with the stuff i ahve and a rutune, my car will pass. and what do you mean lean out my cars AFR's. i thougth with a tune, it makes it ru right, not lean or rich
