new jam lifters
If it is the PVC making noise I don't know if changing the valve will make it stop. You will have to hook up a catch can to help keep it stable. As you hear it make noise you might be able to disconnect the hose to it and see if the noise stops to tell if it is your issue. Just an easy test if you haven't done it already.
how do you hook up a catch can to stabilize the pcv valve. i did a search on it and there are lots of catch cans, i did not know wich one to go with and the way i should hook it up. it seems the noise is going away when i unplug the valve but its hard to tell because of all the air coming being noisy. maybe there is a cheap way to make a temporary catch can to see if this is my problem.
changed cams, lifters, springs and retainers, rockers and it still ticks around thay rpm range 2.5 to 3.5k. some times noise goes away but them it comes back.when i changed the springs it went away for 1000 miles but came back again.???
ticking came back i don't know what else to replace??? i'm so pissed do i need to just buy a new engine lol. i have an oil pressure gauge and it seems fine. 18 psi at idle and 65 on the freeway. temp is 95c.
Its normal bro, oh and i see that you have an RS like I do. No sound deadening sucks cause you hear everything a lot more. I kind of ignored it and continued with what im doing.....driving fast with a smile on my face
