Things to know about the diffrent Transmissons per year and model

I went in to my service manuals and this is what I found the 03 Evo has no LSD in the front and a LSD in the rear.
The 04 GSR was the same as the 03 but the RS has a Front LSD, both have rear a lsd.
05 and up all have a front lsd and Active Center Differentials both on the 5 speed and 6 speed.
I printed these off of my service manuals so you can take a look.
03 specs

Notice the viscous coupling in the transfer case

04 specs

04 With LSD

04 without LSD

05 specs

Notice the viscous coupling is gone and ACD is now in place

the 05 and the evo 9 are the same right?
march of 05 should be a evo 9
unless you ran into a early 05

i was glad when i realized i lucked out with my 05...and yes the evo 9 got a different 4th gear, they usually put the evo 8 4th gear into drag trannys since its a longer gear
