Do expeirence any sort of misfire? I've read somewhere that the engine will misfire when throwing this code because I guess it thinks it's supposed to. The misfire is a symptom of the code itself. Weird.

I got a p0300 after my timing belt change. It misfired like hell. I changed my plugs (which really didn't need changed), reset my ECU, and I've been clear ever since. From my searches, people throw these codes randomly, after a timing belt change or cams.

I'd say that if you're not experiencing the misfire, not to worry. I's a very commen code for Evo's. Do a search too. There is a LOT of info on this
