Cosworth 272's are 600 shipped from gruppe-s. I'm only seeing them in one size. I would recommend 272's though for drivability. I've heard better things about the HKS 272's for the IX which are actually 25.00 cheaper. They have other sizes in the HKS and the BC but 272's would be ideal for me and someone who is going to be driving their car daily.

My vote is for the HKS 272's if you're looking at those higher priced cams than the BC.

The following is taken right from the Gruppe-S website in regards to the BC cams.

Stage 2 - Street/Strip Specification
Plug and play application. Short duration for nice street manners, slight lope at idle. Excellent all purpose spec. OEM spring OK.

Stage 2 Duration: 272 In / 272 Ex
Stage 2 Lift: 10.54 in / 9.86 Ex

Stage 3 - Race Specification
Longer duration profile, added rpm potential. Intended for fully built engine. Tuning and ECU mods recommended. Requires spring & retainer kit BC-0100.

Stage 3 Duration: 280 In / 280 Ex
Stage 3 Lift: 10.8 in / 10.36 Ex

Stage 4 - Full Race Specification
Giant lift profile intended for those looking to achieve huge power numbers at high rpm. Requires extensive tuning and modifications. Requires BC0100

Stage 3 Duration: 288 In / 288 Ex
Stage 3 Lift: 11.88 in / 12.14 Ex

Let me know what you decide!

If you guys are looking to go bigger turbo such as a GT35r...I believe that the GSC S2s are the best cams around...with their dual springs and retainers it is an amazing setup!

i have 280's on a stock turbo with tbe, mbc, intake, and a tune.

im having some issues getting the thing to run well.
might go with some better EMS. like AEM.

i got it cuz i knew i'll be going with some bigger turbo later.

the duration is how long the valves will stay open, and lift is... well lift of the valves done by the cams when its on full lift.

ive always figured more air and better flow = more pwer.
but with stock basic set up you can only work with so much.

I have HKS 264/264 cams. Im about to upgrade to the 272/272 cams though. I have heard good things about HKS 272/272 cams.

I personally choose the HKS 272's and a set of cam gears. I love the way they sound just say potata potata potata all run together haha. I pulled 332whp and 329wtq with cams cam gears, tbe, intake, greddy profec b boost controler, licp and a tune by KevinD all on a stock 8 turbo. As far as drivability they are perfect nice and meaty power in the mid and upper rpm's. I don't have any idling issues and the car pulls very very hard and gets into boost quickly. Good luck !!

My vote goes to 3 cams:
1. Comp 280's (I'm running these )
2. FP4R's
3. New GSC S1's
All of these give you good midrange and a little extra topend compared to most 272's or 280/272 combo's.
