Sweet Tom! But when I called they told me they wont have a HTA upgrade until next month! Unless you have some inside scoop you want to share?

No inside scoop, just wanted to be sure you knew that was an option for your kit

I ordered a HTA 35r. its obvious that you can't go wrong with that turbo. If you really want you turbo to spool faster you should start with the building the head

I have to say that AMS seems to have a very efficient open scroll setup. My good friend has an AMS 3076r. I have rode in it, and drove it many times.. The car feels great however he still only get around 20lbs of boost right at 4300 rpm's.. Now talk to everyone with the full race 3076 twin scroll setup and they get 20lbs of boost at right around 3800rpms. The hotside on the AMS kit is .63 and the hotside on the full race kit is .78(so they are about the same size since you lose a little area with the TS... Anyhow I am not praising Full race as the best kit, by any means(even though it is good ). In fact I might go with a totally different route, on the twin scroll design. As far as dumping money down the drain, I can do a full race kit(minus their intercooler and piping) for cheaper than an AMS kit. I can build a full TS kit for less than $2500 as well.

On another note I feel the HTA is a great turbo. So I am waiting for a couple of people who are going to be doing the same thing that I am thinking(hta35r, or even hta3065 if it looks good)to finish up and get their results.. If it surges(very possible since you are making big power early) or doesn't give the results I am looking for, then I will just do a 3076r.

Lastly I am not looking to max out a turbo completely. I am running e85 and will run around 26-28psi. So far from maxing out any of the turbos. I just want a decent spool/torque with bigger power(450-500whp) In other words I don't want to just stare at my cake, and maybe drool a little over it....

Yea, I figured this out this morning when looking back at my old pictures when the turbo was new...

Its supposed to be out next month apparently.

Kinda funny.....I've been searching 3065 info for the last few weeks and there hasn't been WAY too much written about them. A few weeks ago I noticed a thread in which DB said its a great turbo, more people should be using them. Now I'm not saying that had anything to do with it lol, but man, there have been several 3065 threads in just the last couple of days. Gaining popularity very quick

Remember now, that wasn't on an evo motor, it was on a sr20 if i remember right. Personally, if you can afford the whole twin scroll setup, why not go for it, but most people don't see shelving out 6k+ when turbo like the HTA 35r perform so well.

Back on topic, i would get the 3065 hta or you could always go w/the HTA 35r

Nobody is really talking about this GT3076HTA... So how is this turbo compared to the GTA3065? And what would make the GTA3065 a better choice to wait for over the GTA3076HTA?

First off, I'd like to say that it's pretty amazing...the technological savvy of these companies to keep pushing things to the next level. Just when I thought the mystery was solved between spool up/lag/top end with the Green...the HTA35r comes out...and now the HTA3065r seems to be the perfect go-between with street/track. I'm concerned about price as the BR FP3065 w/o tubular manifold sells for $3K.

That's the full cast manifold Buschur kit price, not the FP3065 by itself. You just have to have a manifold that matches the custom 3065 turbine housing, or substitute another turbine housing in its place.

I wish FP would chime in. I have my kit waiting to go into the car but trying to hold off if I need to send it out.

An HTA3065 would be an amazing turbo. I have personally driven a 3065 cat that made 545whp. It spooled up pretty well. Can't imagine it spooling even faster. Now an HTA3076 is going to be even more amazing. Now the green needs to look out. If they can get that turbo to spool up at 3800 like full races then that is going to be the turbo to beat. If I can have a car that spools at 3800 and makes 500whp then that is a dream. Add a 2.3 to that and get used to cleaned the stains off your seat.
